Just put up some great pictures from our trip back east September
2003.
Yogi is doing great. He is talking up a storm and runs
the household. More new pictures are coming soon. I promise!
2/24/2004
Ok so I lied. Sorry about the delay. It's been a busy few months. Everything
is going great. Yogi is now 37 inches tall. Now here
are some new pictures.
Also you can check out www.johnsylvain.com. Yogi's dad's
website.
11/3/2003
The site is back up finally. I am sorry for the long absence. Yogi is
now 2 years old and he is wonderful. Running and talking and jumping
and playing all the time. Lots of new pictures to come in the next few
weeks.
Yogi is now over 35 inches tall and over 40 pounds. I
will post accurate measures soon.
7/19/2002
Yogi is 10 and a half months
old now. He is crawling like crazy and cruising (that means holding
himself up on furniture and walking around) all over the place. At his
last doctor's appointment he was 19 pounds 8 ounces. He is still 26
inches tall but Mom and Dad think he's taller and the nurse didn't stretch
him out enough.
Yogi is babbling all the time now and he
says "Mama" and "Baba" and "Dada" and
stuff like that. He is also extreamly good at clicking and blatting
and he has long conversations with his Mom
and Dad that consist of nothing but funny noises.
Yogi is still an extraordinarily happy
and healthy baby but he had his first ear infection and fever two weeks
ago and he is still getting over a cold so he's not completely perfect
New Pictures
are up from May, June
and July and Shelley created
some great images for her Photoshop class (Yogi
as an object d'art.)

www.yogisylvain.com is on Yahoo! Yay!
I sent in the info to Yahoo about 6
months ago and it's finally on the Google part of Yahoo. This is the
kind of spontaneous publicity that MAKES PEOPLE!!!
By the way, Yogi is 9 months old and
cute as a button. More photos and a quicktime movie coming soon. Like
tomorrow!
5/28/2002
At his last doctors appointment (On May 6th) Yogi weighed 17 lbs, 6
oz and was 26 inches long. He's now crawling forward a bit, and taking
a few steps while holding on to things like tables, laundry baskets
and activity centers. He loves squealing and spitting and listening
to music, especially female singers like K.D. Lang and Carly Simon.
He's recently started eating protein, although he quickly upchucked
some roasted turkey breast. He likes Earth's Best Chicken and Sweet
Potatoes. He's not yet used to eating textured things, and prefers his
meat runny.

New Photo Galleries for you Yogi fans out there!
Yogi is 8 and a half months old and
he is crawling backwards like crazy. (Not forwards yet...) He stands
up sometimes while leaning on stuff and he smiles and laughs ALL THE
TIME!!!
Yogi has two little teeth in the front
in the bottom that are just as cute (and sharp) as can be.
Yogi has his first cold in his entire
little life but it only made him miserable for about 8 hours. Now he
just coughs and sneezes and goes right on smiling!
4/19/2002
Yogi has his FIRST TOOTH!!!
4/4/2002
Yogi's 7 months birthday! John's Opening Night in "Jack!"
Too much excitement for one family! Put your greetings on Yogi's Bulletin
board. He'll read them as soon as he can read.
If you want to get an email when there is new stuff on this site sign
up on Yogi
Mailing List. Don't worry we only send one
email every month or so.
In other news, Yogi went to the doctor
and he weighs 16 pounds now. John measured him and he was 27" but
pretty much everyone agrees that this is not accurate.
4/1/2002
Yogi is almost 7 months old. He started eating solid
food this week and just loves it. His Aunt Kate Pendleton and Step-Grandfather
Chet came to visit - Pictures soon.
New on the site:
Family News: John is in a new play that
opens this Thursday. Yogi came to a run through last week with Kate
and Chet. The adults loved it but Yogi slept through the whole thing!
For more info on the play click
here.

Yogi is 6 months old!!! Can you believe it!!!
3 weeks ago Yogi was 24 inches long
and 15 and a half pounds according to his new Doctor. (I know I said
he was 16 pounds two months ago but that was according to my scale and
it was probably inaccurate.) Yogi holds himself up off his stomach pretty
well and he is grasping everything in sight and putting it in his mouth.
He doesn't sleep through the night without eating but Mom and Dad have
long since given up a good nights sleep as something that they used
to do as kids.
Yogi, Shelley and John went to the Florida
Keys to visit Yogi's Grandfather (Pepere) Bob Sylvain. Lots of cute
pictures of Yogi smiling
and laughing in the Florida sun. Of course we live a mile from the Pacific
Ocean but this vacation was Yogi's first encounter with the beach. Check
it out!
This was Yogi's first plane trip and
dispite fearful parents Yogi did a GREAT job and everyone on the plane
commented on how quiet he was. Yay!
Also another gallery of Christmas
pictures that we unearthed and pictures from Noel
and Jim and Leela's visit.
1/22/2002
Yogi is smiling and laughing all the time now. He is a very happy
little boy. Noel and Jim came to visit with their little girl Leela
and a great time was had by all.
New on the site: A
couple new essays.
1/9/2002 MORE...
The family portrait is up and here
it is. This picture was taken by Norman Gilmore on December 13th.
Also, today Yogi turned over by himself
for the first time!!! Olympic trials are in his future!
1/9/2002
This morning Yogi weighed 16 pounds and was about 21
inches...tall...long. Also I was reminded that Yogi made his stage debut
at Sacred Fools just before Christmas! A picture from that "performance"
can be seen at www.sacredfools.org
on the Crime Scene page. Shelley and Babe Hack sang "The First
Noel" while Yogi stared at the audience.
1/8/2002
Lots of NEW PICTURES including
Yogi's First Christmas!
1/7/2002
Yogi is Four Months old. He is healthy and happy. He started smiling
about a month ago and now he will smile and give a little humming laugh
if you act silly. (He sounds like Andrew Borakov) Yogi has been sucking
his fist for about a month but this week he started sucking his thumb
(left thumb usually). Yogi spent his first Christmas in San Diego with
his Great Grandmother and the Yogi family. New pictures, weights and
other measures coming soon.
